What I Learned from Deleting 20 Plugins

· Blogging Tips, Posts · 1 min read

A few months ago, I looked at one of my older sites.
Twenty-three plugins. Half outdated, all competing for attention.

So I deleted them.

Here’s what happened:

  1. Page load time dropped by 1.8 seconds.
  2. The admin panel felt instant again.
  3. I stopped worrying about conflicts.

Then I realized I hadn’t lost a single feature I truly needed.

WordPress on its own does more than people think.
Stoics proves it—every block you see here is native.

The best optimization is subtraction.
